Valeriy Andriytsev

Valery Alexandrovich Andriizew (born 27 February 1987 in Kiev) is a Ukrainian wrestler. He won a silver medal in free -style light heavyweight at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Career

Valeri Andriizew began in 1997 as a teenager with rings. It focuses on the free style and is a member of Dynamo Kiev. The student has been, or is trained by Grigori Danko and Igor Malenski. He started yet always light heavyweight, the weight category to 96 kg body weight.

He scored in his last junior 2007 extraordinary success, because he was first in Belgrade heavyweight Junior European Champion before William Harth from Germany and Jamaladdin Magomedov from Russia and then in Beijing in the same weight class also Junior World Champion in front of Alen Zasejew from Russia and Komeil Ghassemi from Iran.

In the senior level, he needed a few years to place himself there at international championships in the front of the field. Although he won at the 2008 World Championships in Thessaloniki universities behind Evgeni Kolomiets from Russia 2nd place, but at the 2009 World Championships in Herning / Denmark he had to take after a defeat against Ruslan Scheikow from Belarus to be content with 20th place. Slightly better he cut off at the World Cup 2010 in Moscow. He came there to a victory over John boiler from Germany, but resigned after a defeat in his next fight against Nicolai Ceban from Moldova and came on the 13th Place. But in October 2010 he was in Turin behind Salih Erinc, Turkey, again vice-champion among students.

In 2011 he was employed at no international championships. But he was in March 2012 in Belgrade for the first time at a European Championship at the start and finished there behind Abdussalam Gadissow from Russia and Serhat Balci ago from Turkey and Ivan Jankowski from Belarus to 2nd place. That was his first medal win at an international championship at senior level. The next then followed at the Olympic Games in London. He fought his way there with wins over Rustam Iskandari, Tajikistan, Chetag Gasjumow from Azerbaijan and the World Champion of 2011 Reza Yazdani of Iran with a defeat in the final against Jacob Varner from the United States the silver medal.
