Disused lines and sections

  • On line 1: By 1946, a tram track from the terminus Kriens existed at the base station of the Sonnenbergbahn.

Renamed lines

Vbl -historic

The historic vehicles VBL were turned off for a long time in the depot Weinbergli, where the regular line of vehicles serviced and parked. Since this was not without problems for the ongoing operation, the vehicles were moved to an outdoor location in 2007. Time for the 111 year anniversary of the VBL in 2010, the two vintage buses were again made ​​ready to drive from the historic inventory and used for trips.

Meanwhile, the interest of classic car buffs had been awakened, who wanted to make the historical vehicles like to continue the public. So it came to talks by members of the VBL and the Museum of Transportation, as a result, vbl -historic was founded as an association on 19 October, 2012. The aim of this association is in addition to the preservation and maintenance of historic vehicles and the operation of these vehicles as historical witnesses to events.
