Vitulazio

Vitulazio is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7139 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Caserta in Campania. The community is located about 13 kilometers northwest of Caserta. A few kilometers south of the municipal boundary flows of the Volturno.

History

The area was inhabited in Roman times. Presumably there was a small hamlet. The story is with the neighboring municipality of Capua. The name of the village is in any case of medieval origin. 1806, the community was (then as Vitulaccio ) independently.

Traffic

Through the municipal area the Autostrada A1 from Rome to Naples, and State Road 7 Via Appia leads to southern Italy.
