Vladimír Dravecký

Vladimír Dravecký ( born June 3, 1985 in Košice, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak professional ice hockey player who was most recently with the Espoo Blues in the SM- liiga under contract.

Career

Vladimír Dravecký began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of the HC Košice, for the first team, he was active from 2001 to 2007 in the Extraliga. During this period, the winger also collected several times match practice in teams from the sub-prime first league. These were the HK VTJ Trebišov, PHK Prešov and HKm Humenne.

From 2007 to 2009 played Dravecký for the Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League. He also came in parallel in the 2007/ 08 season for the Reading Royals in the ECHL for use. For the season 2009/10 he returned to his homeland Slovak, where he was with his former club HC Košice champion. For the following season the national team has been committed by the KHL rookie HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, but returned in November after just seven KHL inserts and another eight for their cooperation partners Molot - Prikamye Perm from the Wysschaja Hockey League for HC Košice back, with he was again champion at season's end.

In May 2012, Dravecký received a contract with the KHL rookie HC Slovan Bratislava, for which he completed 24 KHL games before he was sidelined with a broken rib. At the turn of 2012/13 his running contract was terminated prematurely. In January 2013 Dravecký was taken by the Espoo Blues to end of season under contract.

Internationally

For Slovakia took Dravecký at the U18 World Youth Championship in 2003, and the 2010 World Cup in Germany in part. In the 2010 World Cup, he remained no points in six games and won two penalty minutes.
