Wardböhmen is a town of Bergen in the northern district of Celle on the Lüneburg Heath. It is located 6 km north of Bergen on the main road 3
History
Wardböhmen was first mentioned in 1197 under the name Werthebohmen in Parrochia mountains. The name is derived as follows at Alpers and Barenscheer: warde = waiting = Boëme trees.
In Lower Saxony State Museum is excavation finds are from a hillside grave at Stallion Mountain, southwest of Wardböhmen. Clothing accessories: V- cap jewelry, collars, jewelry disc, needle, arm and leg rings from the period 1500-1200 BC
Districts of Wardböhmen are the villages Hoope and Sehlhof.
On February 1, 1971 Wardböhmen was incorporated into the city of Bergen.

Attractions
- The mill of 1877/78 is a listed building. It was operated until 1975, from 1950 but without wings.
- The telecommunications tower of the radio transmission site Bergen 1 1986 replacing the old 1952 built tower which was demolished in 1996.
Traffic
The Wardböhmen railway station is on the railway line Celle- Soltau. Regular passenger does not occur.
