Warrington is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Escambia County in the U.S. state of Florida with 14,531 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Warrington is bordered to the north-east directly to Pensacola. CDP is traversed by the Florida State Roads 292, 295 and 727.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 14,531 inhabitants distributed to 7,424 households. The population density was 811.8 inh. / Km ². 68.9 % of the population were white, 21.8 % African American, 1.1% Native American and 2.5 % Asian Americans. 1.9% were members of other ethnic groups and 3.8% in different ethnic groups. 5.3% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 25.2 % of all households lived in 29.7 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 58.8 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.33 persons and the average family size is 2.93.

26.3% of the population were younger than 20 years, 26.2% were 20-39 years old, 27.9% were 40-59 years old and 19.7 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 38 years. 48.9 % of the population were male and 51.1 % female.

The average annual income was $ 34,528, while 23.5 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 95.16 % of the population spoke Spanish 2.81% and 2.03 % had a different mother tongue.
