Weesby

Weesby (Danish: Vesby ) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography

Weesby is located about 18 kilometers west of Flensburg on the Danish border.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the municipal council has the voter community WGW A since the local elections in 2013 five seats and voters Community AWGW 90 four.

Weesby located in the eastern part of the former Karrharde. The historic seal of this old administrative body shows five deciduous trees with spherical crown. The number of alder leaves refers to the three districts Bögelhuus, Weesbydamm and Weesbyfeld. Economy and infrastructure

The community is predominantly agricultural.

South of Weesby runs the federal highway 199 from Flensburg to Niebüll.
