Wildenstein

Wildenstein is a municipality with 195 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in France. She is a member of the Communauté de communes de la Vallée de Saint -Amarin.

Geography

The community Wildenstein lies in the headwaters of the river Thur in the High Vosges, bordering Lorraine. Two striking elevations in the west of the municipality are the Altenberg with 1197 m and the battery head with 1311 m above the sea. The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges.
