Will Hutchins

Will Hutchins ( born May 5, 1930 in Los Angeles, California as Marshall Lowell Hutchason ) is an American actor.

Life

Hutchins attended college in Pomona, where he already occupied first acting classes. After his military service, he graduated at the United States Army, he studied film at the University of California at Los Angeles. In 1956 he received a movie contract with Warner Bros. and after a few guest roles in television series, he was cast in the lead role of the Western series Sugarfoot. By means of action overlap he appeared as Tom " Sugarfoot " Brewster also in episodes of the series Maverick, Cheyenne and Bronco. After the series ended in 1961, he was 1966-1967 in the title role of the sitcom Hey, see Landlord. This was discontinued after the first season with 31 episodes. From 1968 to 1969 he played Dagwood Bumstead in the comic based on the eponymous sitcom Blondie. This series was discontinued after only 13 episodes.

He made his feature film debut in 1957 in an undisclosed uncredited supporting role in the film drama bomber B -52 along with Karl Malden and Natalie Wood. A larger supporting role he played in the following year in the comedy duds of the company on the side of Andy Griffith. In the 1960s, he appeared in two Elvis Presley movies and starred opposite Jack Nicholson one of the main roles in the Western Shooting. When his Hollywood career came to a halt, he joined temporarily on as a clown in the circus and was only occasionally seen on the screen. His later, small roles include an appearance in Adventure Roar - The Lions are going on with Tippi Hedren and in Western Maverick - The Colt belt, an ace up its sleeve with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster.

Hutchins is married to his second wife, from his first marriage with the younger sister of Carol Burnett he has a child.
