Williamsburg is a city located in the southeast of the U.S. state of Virginia on the Virginia Peninsula, with around 11,998 inhabitants. The city is the seat of the County - James City County, but does not belong to itself. History

Most of the buildings are open for tourists and Colonial Williamsburg is visited every year by more than one million visitors from around the world. It is now a living history museum where people in period costumes interpret life in the 18th century.

The DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum displays an extensive collection of American and British antiques. Includes furniture, metals, ceramics, glass, paintings, prints, firearms, and textiles from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Affiliated to the Museum is also Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, the nation's acknowledged as a leading center of research, conservation and exhibition of American folk art and holds the extensive folk art collection Abby Rockefeller.
