Wolfgang Hesl ( born January 13, 1986 in Nabburg ) is a German football goalkeeper.

Career

A native of Upper Palatinate Hesl, indicating as a sporty model Oliver Kahn, joined in January 2004 as A Teenager Hamburger SV whose offer he preferred one of Bayern Munich. Even as a youth player, he completed his first missions for the second team of HSV in the Regionalliga Nord. In the season 2005/ 06 Hesl was goalkeeper of the reserve team, and remained so in the following season.

Before the season 2006/ 07 Hesl advanced to the first team on, but for now there was only the third goalkeeper behind Sascha Kirschstein and Stefan Wächter and was therefore continue to be used in the regional team. In the 2007 /08 season he was the number two behind -budgetary choice goalkeeper Frank Rost and earned his first Bundesligaeisatz 17 May 2008 (34th Round ), when he appeared as a substitute in the 7-0 home win against Karlsruher SC 15 minutes before closing. His second outing for the professionals graduated Hesl almost nine months later on January 6, 2009 in a friendly match against AC Milan, in which he saved a penalty kick in the penalty shootout. Then Hesl only came back during the preparatory phase of the 2009/10 season at T- Home Cup to use and let in the two games against FC Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart tight at the back. After the signing of Jaroslav Drobný in summer 2010 Hesl was only the third goalie and therefore moved on the last day of the transfer window on loan in the Austrian Bundesliga for SV Ried, in order to represent the injured and also German goalkeeper Thomas Gebauer. He came so during the season to a total of 20 missions, was the fall of champion and Winter King and finally Austrian Cup winner. For the 2011/12 season Hesl time being returned back to the HSV.

On 14 August 2011, he signed a two year contract with the second division promoted Dynamo Dresden, where he originally the long -term absentees Benjamin Kirsten number two should be found after Dennis Eilhoff. At the beginning of the 2013/2014 season appointed coach Frank Kramer Hesl as captain of the Franks, triggering from Mergim Mavraj.
