Wuzhi County

Wuzhi (武陟县) is the district of the city of Jiaozuo in Henan Province, China. The county has an area of 860 km ² and 650,000 inhabitants ( end of 2003). It extends across the whole south-east of Jiaozuo. Along its entire southern border of the Huang He separates him from the city of Zhengzhou in the east, it borders Xinxiang, on the north by the circle Wuxiu and the Municipality Shanyang and to the west by the circles Bo'ai and Wen. The circle Wuzhi was during the Sui Dynasty in Kaihuang 16 ( corresponds to the year 596 ) was founded.

In the village Qinchang秦 厂 村of the circle Wuzhi the People's Victory Canal, the first large-scale construction of an irrigation area begins after the founding of the People 's Republic of China.
