History

The site in memory of the events of the Long March in Ngawa ( 1935) ( Aba Hongjun Changzheng Yiji阿坝 红军 长征 遗迹) is since 2006 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (see Decision 6-1042 ). On June 12, 1935 - probably possible only on 16 June -, met the vanguard of the first Red Army in Dawei (达维), east of Xiaojin (小金), to troops of the 4th Red Army front. The first Red Army with Mao Zedong and Zhu De existed at the time of 35,000 soldiers and had been since October 1934 on the road, after the Soviet bases had to be abandoned in Jiangxi Province. The 4th Red Army front with Zhang Guotao consisted of 50,000 soldiers and broke in March 1935 on their Soviet territory in the northeastern Sichuan and southern Shaanxi to the northwest Sichuan, to meet the Red Army of Mao Zedong there.
