Yuri KanÅ
Yuri Kano (Japanese加纳 由 理Kanō Yuri, born October 27, 1978 in Takasago ) is a Japanese long-distance runner.
In 1999, she won the 10,000 m silver at the Universiade.
In 2003, she finished fifth in the Miyazaki Half Marathon and ninth in the Japanese firms Championship in the half marathon, 2004 Seventh at Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon and the 2005 Second Matsue Half Marathon. The following year, followed by a second place at the Azalea Trail Run and in each case a fourth place at the New York City Half Marathon and the San'yo road race.
In 2007, she was h during its debut on the 42,195 - km - distance third of the Osaka Women's Marathon in 2:24:43 In the same year, she was again fourth in New York City and won the Hokkaido Marathon. In 2009 she was second in the Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon and Eleventh at the London Marathon. When marathon the World Athletics Championships in Berlin she took seventh place in 2:26:57 h and won along with Yoshimi Ozaki and Yoshiko Fujinaga bronze in the standings of the Marathon World Cup. In the New York City Marathon it crashed heavily after 5 km, but fought through and came to ninth place. A month later, she won the half marathon of the East Asian Games in Hong Kong silver.
In 2010 she won the Nagoya Marathon. and at the Sapporo Half Marathon. In a marathon, the Asian Games in Guangzhou, she was seventh.
After she was plagued longer time of injury, they started in 2012 in Nagoya, but did not place 27 addition.
Yuri Kano is 1.52 meters tall and weighs 40 kg. A graduate of Ritsumeikan University launched from 2001 to 2007 for the Company Team Shiseido and then joined the team Second Wind AC. In 2011 she returned to Shiseido.
