Žabokreky nad Nitrou

Žabokreky nad Nitrou (up to 1927 Slovak " Nitrianske Žabokreky "; Hungarian Nyitrazsámbokrét ) is a municipality in Slovakia. It is located in the Upper Nitra region in the valley of the river of the same name, 6 km west of the city Partizánske.

The church was first mentioned in 1291 as Sebakereky. In 2001 there were in place in 1628 inhabitants, of whom 1596 Slovaks.

The village has a Catholic church from 1913, built in 1320 a tower was rebuilt in the 20th century to a house, a mansion from 1840 and a mausoleum of 1910.
