12 songs is the title of the second studio album by singer-songwriter Randy Newman. The album was released in April 1970 on Reprise Records. Although the album was a commercial failure at the time, it got good reviews and is now considered classics of rock music, it reached to the compiled by Rolling Stone in 2003 list of the 500 best albums of all time place 354

Compared to Newman's richly orchestrated debut 12 songs is orchestrated quite economical. The lyrics are mostly political in nature, for example, Newman directed in Yellow Man against racism, sometimes there are just love songs. Singles were not decoupled from the album, but songs like Have You Seen My Baby? and Mama Told Me (Not to Come ) has become too often gecoverten rock standards.

On October 25, published in 1990 Reprise album on CD.
