1913 German football championship
The eleventh German championship final took place without North German masters. Due to problems in the determination of Hamburg- Altona Master ( FC Altona 93 or SC Victoria Hamburg ) with numerous protests and counter- protests could the North German championship finals begin until very late. The final between Eintracht Braunschweig and SC Victoria Hamburg ( Braunschweig won 3-2 ) took place only two weeks after the final of the German Championship. Inevitably could thus not participate Eintracht Braunschweig. After all, was there a North German representatives with defending champion Holstein Kiel.
VfB Leipzig scored his third league titles this year and became once again the sole record holder. With the SV Duisburg for the first time reached a West German team in the final. It was the first tournament in which there was no novice who has never reached the finals.
