1964 Meistaradeildin

The Faroe Islands Football Championship 1964 was held in the Meistaradeildin said first Faroese league and overall was the 22nd season.

Champion was defending HB Tórshavn, which could thus win the title for the fourth time. KÍ Klaksvík pulled back, however, after two games.

In comparison to the previous season, the strike rate improved to 4.83 per game, which meant the highest average since 1958. The highest victory achieved HB Tórshavn with a 7:2 at home against TB Tvøroyri, which also represented the highest-scoring game.

Mode

In the Meistaradeildin played after the withdrawal of KÍ Klaksvík each team to four games two times against each other. The point- best team in the season-ending stable as champions this league, a down regulation did not exist.

Course of the season

Only the home game against B36 Tórshavn was lost with 0:2 for HB Tórshavn, the revenge was successful away with a 3-0 victory. Since B36 lost its away game against TB with 1:2 Tvøroyri, HB was able to celebrate the championship.
