1984 Úrvalsdeild

The Icelandic Football Championship in 1984 was the 73rd season of the highest Icelandic Football League. The League began on 17 May 1984 and ended with the last games on 16 September 1984.

From this season was played after the three - point rule. That is, the winner of an encounter was now three and not two points, for a given Draws both opponents so far as one point each.

The title was won for the twelfth time the defending champion ÍA Akranes.

Since ÍA Akranes won both the Cup and the Championship, the losing finalist Cup Fram Reykjavík was allowed to participate at Europe Cup Winners' Cup 1985/86.
