1996 AFC Asian Cup
The 11th Asian Cup took place in the period from December 4 to December 21 in 1996 in the United Arab Emirates take place. The largest Asian football tournament is carried out since 1956 by the Asian Football Confederation ( AFC).
Saudi Arabia was able to prevail against the hosts in the final. Best scorer of the tournament was Ali Daei (Iran) with eight goals.
