1998 FIBA World Championship for Women

The Basketball Women's World Cup 1998 took place from May 26 to June 7, 1998 in Germany. On the Wear were the games in Münster, Wuppertal, Rotenburg an der Fulda, Karlsruhe, Dessau, Bremen and Berlin.

The World Cup tournament contested 16 nations. World Champions were the United States, Russia won silver and bronze went to Australia.
