2005 UEFA European Under-17 Championship

The 23 U-17 Football Championship was held in the period from 3 to 14 May 2005 Italy. Winners Turkey was a 2-0 victory over the Netherlands. Germany as well as defending champion France could not qualify.

Mode

The eight teams were divided into two groups of four teams each. Within the groups, each team plays once against each other. The group winners and runners reach the semifinals. The semi-final winners reach the final, the losers play for third place.
