2006–07 NOFV-Oberliga

The season 2006/07 Oberliga Nordost was the 16th season of the Football Oberliga Nordost and the 13th as the fourth- highest league in Germany. As in the pre-season 2005/ 06 passed the two seasons ( north and south) from each of 16 teams. The ascent and descent rules remained the same as last season. Accordingly, the respective winners of the two squadrons were promoted to the Regionalliga. In addition, there were two solid relegated a season and two relegation matches between the respective third last the two seasons to determine a fifth Absteigers in the Association leagues in the national league ( in Saxony and Thuringia).

Season North

This season is no Regional relegated came into the North Season, so it was only through the three climbers from the Association leagues strengthened .. At the beginning of the season relegated Regional Chemnitz FC came into the Südstaffel. From the Saxon League of FSV Zwickau rose. The SV Dessau 05 came from the fifth division of Saxony-Anhalt to and from the national league Thuringia, the second team of FC Carl Zeiss Jena qualified for the league.

Autumn Master of Südstaffel was the FC cables castle with a point ahead of Energie Cottbus II and Chemnitz FC with 32 points. The play-offs for the league denied the MSV Neuruppin from the North and the FC Carl Zeiss Jena II from the South Season. After the 0-0 draw in the first leg in Neuruppin and a 2-2 in the second leg in Jena MSV Neuruppin would indeed have done due to the away goals in the league, but the club waived after the season to take part in the big leagues for 2007/08. This could celebrate the league the Thuringian still.
