2008–09 CEV Champions League

The 2008/09 season of Volleyball Champions League began on November 4, 2008 with the group stage and ended with the final on April 5, 2009 in Prague. 24 teams from 16 nations took part in the competition. Trentino Volley from Italy won the final against the Greek representative Iraklis Thessaloniki.

Mode

In the group stage, there were six groups of four teams. Each team took home and away against each of the three counterparties. The top two teams from each group and the four best third qualified for the knockout stages. The eighth and quarter final was played in KO system with return game. The four winners of the quarter-final qualified for the Final Four in Prague.
