2008 AFC Challenge Cup qualification
The qualification for the second AFC Challenge Cup was held from April 2 to May 28, 2008. 16 teams entered this into four groups of four teams against each other. The four group winners qualify for the finals in India.
As group winners, teams from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Nepal could qualify for the finals. Of the 16 registered teams were only fourteen of the qualification, as Laos and Palestine withdrew their participation.
In addition to the four athletic teams qualified also hosts India and North Korea, Turkmenistan and Myanmar participated in the final round and played there to qualify for the Asia Cup 2011.

Draw for the groups
According to their results in the last issue of 2006, the teams were divided into four Lostöpfe.
The four group winners will qualify for the finals. Besides hosts India and North Korea, Myanmar and Turkmenistan are set for the final round.
The draw on 16 January 2008 in Kuala Lumpur then gave the following groups:
