2006 AFC Challenge Cup
The first AFC Challenge Cup was held between the 1st and 16th of April, 2006 Bangladesh. This tournament was not seen as a qualification for the Asian Cup. Therefore Tajikistan qualified as winners of the tournament, not even for a big tournament.

In the quarter and semi-finals, the third-place match and the final was played in the knockout system. Stand it at the games of the final round after the regular time of 90 minutes in a draw, it was the extension of two periods of 15 minutes, and possibly (if still decided a winner ) for penalties.
