2008 Asia Series

The Asia Series 2008 was the 4th edition of the international Asian Championships for baseball club teams. It took place from 13th to 16th November 2008 at the Tokyo Dome in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. The participants were the national champions of the four host countries, the Tianjin Lions from the People's Republic of China, Uni-President 7 -Eleven Lions of Chinese Taipei (Republic of China), the Saitama Seibu Lions of Japan and the SK Wyverns of the Republic of Korea.

Saitama Seibu Lions in the finals defeated the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions 1-0. This is the fourth time the Japanese decided to host the tournament. Tomoaki Satō ( Seibu ) was named the MVP of the tournament.

For the first time took for the Chinese mainland, a club team instead of an all-star teams participate, which had denied the three previous editions. The prize money was on the winning 50 million yen ( about 400,000 euros ), distributed to the runner-up 30 million yen and 10 million yen each to the other two teams.

Group stage

In the group stage played on 13, 14 and 15 November 2008, all teams in a round-robin round against each other. The games were each at 12 clock and 18 clock local time.

The finale took place in front of 18,370 spectators on 16 November 2008.
