2008 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup
The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2008 is the fourth edition of the World Cup tournament for men in beach soccer, organized by FIFA. For the first time they did not take place in Brazil, but in Marseille in France. All 32 games were played at the Stade du Prado and broadcast live from Euro Sport 2.

In the group stage, there were 4 groups of 4 teams that played against each other in each case, where 3 points were awarded for a win, 2 points for a win after extra time or penalty shoot-out, and no points for a defeat. In case of equality, the direct comparison decided. After the group stage the tournament in the elimination system was continued.

FIFA named a total of 23 referees who ran the games of the World Cup. Most referees came from Europe, South America and Asia namely 12 set 4, 2 Africa and North America and the Caribbean zone of an arbitrator available.
