2009 Men's Pan American Cup
The Pan American Cup in hockey was played in 2009 for the third time and took place with eight teams. The tournament winner Canada (men) and Argentina ( women) qualified directly for the 2010 World Cup, the teams ranked 2-6 participated in qualifying tournaments.

The men's tournament was held from March 7 to 15, 2009 in Santiago, Chile instead. Canada won the tournament after two second places for the first time. The United States reached the finals for the first time.

The women's tournament was held from February 7 to 15, 2009 in Hamilton, Bermuda instead. Record winner Argentina won the third of three tournaments like every time in the final against the United States. The final ended with 2:2 and 7:6 by seven meters. Organisers Bermuda took part for the first time.
