2009 UNCAF Nations Cup

The UNCAF Nations Cup 2009, also Central America Championship 2009 was the tenth edition of the football competition for Central American teams Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol, the Central American Football Association. The tournament was held from 22 January to 1 February 2009 in Honduras instead. There, the Central American participants were obtained via the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009. The first five teams in the tournament qualified for the Gold Cup in the United States.

Panama won the tournament against Costa Rica on penalties 5-3. It was the first success of Panama. Panama achieved for the second time in a row the finals, but this time won on penalties against Costa Rica.
