( 25399 ) Vonnegut is a main belt asteroid the middle, by the U.S. amateur astronomer Charles W. Juels at the observatory in Fountain Hills, Arizona (IAU code 678 ) was discovered on 11 November 1999.
The orbit of the asteroid around the Sun is highly inclined with more than 22 ° to the ecliptic of the solar system.
( 25399 ) Vonnegut was named after the American writer Kurt Vonnegut on 24 July 2002. The asteroid was discovered on Vonnegut's 77th birthday.
