( 28019 ) Warchal is an asteroid of the inner main belt, which on 14 January 1998 by the Czech astronomer Lenka Kotková (then under her birth name Lenka Šarounová ) at the observatory Ondřejov (IAU code 557 ) was discovered in Ondřejov near Prague.

( 28019 ) is named after the Warchal Slovak violinist Bohdan Warchal ( 1930-2000 ). The naming of the asteroid on 24 June 2002.
