( 30305 ) Severi is an asteroid of the outer main belt, which was discovered by the Italian-American astronomer Paul G. Comba on 1 May 2000 at the Prescott Observatory in Prescott, Arizona ( IAU code 684).
The asteroid is a member of the Koronis family, a group of asteroids that is named after (158 ) Koronis. The timeless ( nichtoskulierenden ) orbital elements of ( 30305 ) Severi are almost identical to those of the smaller, if we start from the absolute brightness of 17.2 compared to 13.9, asteroid ( 324027 ) 2005 UF414.
( 30305 ) Severi was named after Francesco Severi. Severi was an Italian mathematician who worked mainly in the field of algebraic geometry. The naming of the asteroid on 27 April 2002.
