(3915) Fukushima

( 3915 ) Fukushima is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 15 August 1988 by the Japanese astronomer Masayuki Yanai and Kazuo Watanabe at Kitami Observatory (IAU code 400).

It was named in honor of the Japanese hydrodynamics professor at the University of Hokkaido Hisao Fukushima, which has to be an active amateur astronomer, especially with the history of astronomy.
