(4771) Hayashi

( 4771 ) Hayashi is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on September 7, 1989 by the Japanese astronomer Masayuki Yanai and Kazuo Watanabe at Kitami Observatory (IAU code 400).

It was named in honor of Kousuke Hayashi, who for 20 years assistant at the Sapporo City Astronomical Observatory in Sapporo was and since 1990 chairman of the Japan Research Association Planetarium. Among his greatest achievements was the invention of a mobile observatory.
