7 Up

7 Up is a caffeine-free soda with lemon and lime flavor. The rights to the brand in the U.S. include Dr Pepper Snapple Group, and everywhere else PepsiCo or its licensors.

7 Up was invented in 1929 by Charles Leiper Grigg. First, the product was called " Bib- Label Lithiated Lemon - Lime Soda", and was sold for the first time two weeks before the global economic crisis in 1929. It contained lithium citrate until 1950, a mood-stabilizing drug used in psychiatry (see lithium therapy). It was marketed as a cure for hangovers. The name was later changed to 7 Up.

In Germany and Austria only 7 Up flavored with lemon and 7 Up are sold light. In Switzerland, next 7 Up with grapefruit flavor (also known as Light- drink) and the products of 7Up H2 Oh! Available with apple or lemon or lime flavor. In other countries, there's also 7 Up Cherry with cherry flavor, Diet 7 Up, Diet 7 Up Cherry 7 Up and plus in different flavors.

Others

In 1987 Eric Clapton Signature paint some of his first Fender Stratocaster with the same green color. The guitar was available from 1988 to 1989 and was later reproduced again.
