A Very Brady Sequel

The Brady Family 2 (AKA A Very Brady Sequel ) is an American comedy film from the year 1996. Was directed by Arlene Sanford, the screenplay by James Berg, Harry Elfont, Deborah Kaplan and Stan Zimmerman. The main roles were played by Shelley Long and Gary Cole.

The film is a sequel to the comedy The Brady Bunch from 1995, which in turn Three girls and three boys ( The Brady Bunch ) from the years 1969 to 1974 based on the TV series.

Action

Roy Martin, who lost husband of Carol Brady, emerges. He steals the Bradys a statue that is worth 20 million U.S. dollars. Martin and Carol Brady to go to Hawaii, where Martin wants to sell the statue of an art collector.

The family will also be flying to Hawaii, where they put in the house of the collector Martin. He proves to be an impostor with the correct name Trevor Thomas. After Martin / Thomas uses obscene words in dispute, Mike Brady hits him and throws him into the pool of the house. The police arrives.

The family returned to California. A woman appears and claims to be married to Mike Brady.

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times of 23 August 1996 that he did not laugh a lot while watching but would much smile. The comedy is better than the first film.

Kenneth Turan wrote in the Los Angeles Times of 23 August 1996 that the film would refer openly to his roots in television.

Awards

Christopher Daniel Barnes and Christine Taylor were nominated in 1997 for the MTV Movie Award.

Background

The shooting took place in California and Hawaii. Production costs amounted to approximately 15 million U.S. dollars that grossing in the cinemas of the United States amounted to 21.4 million U.S. dollars.
