The A980 road is an A road in Scotland. It runs from Banchory on Dee through the sparsely populated regions Aberdeenshire's up near Alford on the Don.

Course

In the center Banchorys the A980 from the A93 (Perth - Aberdeen) branches off. After initially runs for 3.5 kilometers to the north, it bends with the junction of the B977 from the northwest. The road binds to the hamlet of Milton of Campfield and then followed for several kilometers the course of Beltie Burn. The main road leads through Torphins where the A980 crosses the B993. Two kilometers west it crosses the Beltie Burn and soon reached Lumphanan. Successive north abdrehend crosses the road, the B9119, and then follows the course of Leochel Burn, they crossed twice. Two kilometers west of Alford bends the A980 to the east and ends after a total distance of 33.5 km in the A944 one.
