Aaron Korsh

Aaron Thomas Korsh ( born November 7, 1966 in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania) is an American screenwriter and television producer who has developed the television series Suits.

Life

Aaron Korsh was born in 1966 near Philadelphia and grew up there. His brother, Eric Korsh, was executive producer on several television series. Aaron Korsh attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he acquired a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He worked then in the late 1980s and early 1990s about five years on Wall Street, the work was financially profitable as hoped, for him, however, not satisfactory. As Korsh learned that two of his college friends had become successful screenwriters, he also pursued the plan to be a screenwriter.

In order to gain a foothold in the industry moved to Santa Monica Korsh 1998, competed in several television series and is set in the same year as a production assistant on the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. Later he offered there to work as an unpaid assistant to writers. He was able to gain experience in the writers' room and pitching his first screenplay for an episode of the series, which subsequently revised together, filmed and aired in 2001 on CBS. This was followed from 2002 to 2003, a further point as authors assistance in the comedy series Just Shoot Me For this series, he wrote another script independently. After a freelance writer for the sitcom Love Inc. Korsh 2007 was finally a staff writer of the sitcom Pretty pregnant. 2010 wrote Korsh as a regular author for the first time for a drama series for ABC's The Deep End, but this was set after only six episodes.

End of the screenplay writers' strike in 2007 Korsh developed based on his experiences on Wall Street own series. This should first have a half-hour format. The series was sold with a revised concept, now a hour and as a lawyer series on USA Network. While the project is still in the development phase the title A Legal Mind wore, was ultimately the name Suits since June 2011 broadcast series. The reactions of the critics on the show were mostly positive. Korsh is run as a creator, writer and executive producer of the series since the first season. With the end of the first season was Aaron Korsh also the series showrunner after he had completed the "Show Runner Training Program " of the Writers Guild of America. In the first season, Sean Jablonski was showrunner because Korsh had no previous production experience. The first season of the series was an average of 6.31 million viewers one of the most successful formats of the cable channel USA Network. The series has since been renewed for a fourth season.

Aaron Korsh lives since 1998 in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, is married and has two children.
