Abby Martin

Abigail Suzanne " Abby " Martin ( born September 6, 1984 in Oakland ) is an American journalist and presenter. She moderates since September 2012, the mission Breaking the set with the Russian TV channel Russia Today. About journalistic addition, Abby Martin has worked as a visual artist.

Life

Abby Martin spent her childhood in Pleasanton, California. She graduated from Amador Valley High School. She then studied political science at San Diego State University with a Bachelor Degree. Parallel to her studies, she gained experience in Internet shows and participated in the 9/11 Truth Movement. For a time she lived in Costa Rica and Spain.

Work

Abby Martin was co-founder of grassroots journalism project Media Roots. In September 2012, she was hired by RT America, which belongs to Russia Today and moderated since their own mission Breaking the set, in which she criticized, among others, the dominance of Western media.
