Abdülhalik Renda

Mustafa Abdülhalik Renda ( born November 29, 1881 in Yanya (Ottoman Empire today Greece); † November 1, 1957 in Erenkoey, County Kadıköy, İstanbul ) was a politician and officer in the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey.

He was born the son of the local notables Rendazâde Aslan Efendi and graduated from high school in Yanya and İstanbul. On July 25, 1903, he graduated from the School of Administration in Istanbul. His professional career began with the entry as MUHASEBE Kalemi Mukayyit Refiki in the Agricultural Bank. On 27 October 1903 he was appointed as school teacher of mathematics, geometry, agriculture, health and French at the secondary school of Rhodes. On August 11, 1904 Abdülhalik was appointed as a civil servant ( maiyet Memurluğu ) in the Vilayet Dschesair. On March 11, 1906, he was appointed to the District of Tepelenë, on 14 November 1908 by Pogon and on 18 January 1909 by Delvina. He was appointed twice to Mutasarrif of Berat. While he was district of Kavala, he was appointed on 4 February 1911 Mutasarrif of Çamlık. On 8 May 1913 he was Mutasarrif of Siirt on December 20, 1914 Governor of Bitlis, on 14 October 1915 Governor of Aleppo, on April 29, 1917 Secretary of State at the Home Office. After the occupation of Aleppo, he was promoted on 18 November 1918 Governor of Bursa. Before he could take office he was deprived of his office and arrested by the government of Damat Ferid Pasha. Six months later, after the occupation of Istanbul by the British, he was sent to Malta. After his return he was on 4 January 1922 Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, appointed on January 20, 1922 Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior on April 29, 1922 Governor of Konya.

After the liberation of Izmir Abdülhalik was appointed on September 19, 1922 Governor of Izmir. On July 30, he was elected to Parliament as MP for the province Çankırı. On January 2, 1924, he became finance minister in the I. İnönü government. He retained the post in the Second İnönü government until May 21, 1924. 's III. İnönü government he was again Minister of Finance. In the IV and V. İnönü government he was Secretary of Defense.

Mustafa Abdülhalik Renda was from the 2nd to the 8th session of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey deputy of the province Çankırı. On March 1, 1935, and August 5, 1946, he was President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
