Abdurrahim El-Keib

Abdel Rahim el- Kib (Arabic عبد الرحيم الكيب, DMG ʿ Abd al- Rahim al - Kib, * 1951 in Tripoli, Libya) was from 31 October 2011 until September 12, 2012 Prime Minister of the transitional government in Libya. He holds a doctorate in electrical engineering and university teacher is active for only a short time in the politics of his home country.

Life

El- Kib was educated at the University of Tripoli, at North Carolina State University, the University of Alabama and at the American University of Sharjah. He headed the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Petroleum College ( Petroleum Institute ) in Abu Dhabi. After the end of the Civil War he was elected on 31 October 2011 as the Prime Minister of the transitional government in Libya. He sat down in the National Transitional Council against four competitors through, scoring in the first ballot, 26 of 51 votes. On 12 September 2012 was elected prime minister under President Mohammed Yusef el- Mega Rief Mustafa Abu Schagur from which emerged from elections General National Congress with 96 votes out of 200.
