Ableiges

Ableiges is a commune with 933 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Val- d'Oise.

The original Celtic place-name was "down leg". The residents ' Ableigeois "or" Ableigeoises " call themselves.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the Oise Ableiges Creek Viosne, ten kilometers northwest of the city of Pontoise and 45 kilometers from Paris city center.

In the east, the municipality extends to the airport Pontoise - Cormeilles -en- Vexin.

Neighboring communities of Ableiges are Frémécourt in the north, Cormeilles -en- Vexin in the northeast, Montgeroult in the east, Courcelles -sur- Viosne the southeast, Sagy in the south, Longuesse the southwest, Vigny in the west and Us in the northwest.

The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park Vexin français.
