Above the Limit

Above the limit is an American silent film from 1900, the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company. The film was released in November 1900. He was also shown as Chimmie Hicks at the Races.

Movie Plot

The film shows a man who bets in a race and it won once and lost once. Each time seems to be bookies and give him either his profit or collects his money.

Background information

For Charley Grapewin this short film marked the beginning of his long-time Hollywood career. The film drew a sequel titled Chimmie Hicks and the Rum Omelet by itself.

The film was added to the Library of Congress collection.
