Abram A. Slutskin

Abram Sluzkin Alexandrovich (Russian Абрам Александрович Слуцкин; * 5 Julijul / July 17 1891greg in Borisoglebsk, .. † July 13, 1950 in Kharkiv ) was a Soviet physicist.

He had a leading role in the development of the magnetron and its application in radar in the Soviet Union.

Sluzkin was from 1928 professor at Kharkov University and worked at the Institute of Physics and Technology of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. There he developed in the 1930s radar technology.

He was a corresponding member and in 1948 Academician of the Academy of Sciences since 1939.
