Accordéon Mélancolique is a Dutch accordion duo, consisting of Cherie de Boer ( born June 10, 1950 in Jakarta ) and Jean -Pierre Guiran ( born January 27, 1957 in Flushing) is.

History

The duo was founded in 1984. In 1997 they were asked to mark the 50th anniversary of the Marshall Plan, to play in Rotterdam, Netherlands, amongst others for Bill and Hillary Clinton, the Dutch Crown Prince Willem- Alexander and the former Dutch Prime Minister Wim Kok. Their first CD, L' imparfait du Cœur, was released in 1998 and was awarded by the Swedish accordion magazine Dragspels Nytt as the best accordion CD of 1999. She then played in the summer of 2000 and 2003 at several festivals in Iceland and Denmark. Overall, the duo brought out five CDs. The scores for their music are also available.

Style

The duo plays more and more his own compositions. Her inspiration relate of French musette waltzes and chansons, of Italian folk music, waltzes Antilles, Indonesian Kronchongmelodien, Argentine tango, Jewish and Greek folklore, swing standards, romantic gypsy music, classical music, merengue and Tex -Mex.
