Actaeus

Aktaios ( the coast of the [ Act ] or of record ) is a figure of Greek mythology. He is regarded as the mythical Urkönig Attica.

According to Pausanias, was the first king of Attica Aktaios or the successor Porphyrions. He was the father Aglauros ' and father of Cecrops I. Attica was named after him first file or Aktaia before the name of Cecrops in Kekropia was changed. Even in historic times was called the peninsula was on the Piraeus to do so. Since Aktaios had no sons, his son- Cecrops was I. king of Attica.

As with almost all people of Greek mythology, there are also Aktaios different traditions. After Pherecydes of Athens is a later Aktaios of Glauce which originally was the daughter of Kychreus, father Telamon, who was the local hero of Salamis. This Athens claim to Salamis should be underpinned.
