Life

Adam Petri was born around 1454 in Langendorf at Hammelburg. Like his uncle Johannes Petri, he moved to Basel, where he resided since about 1480 and worked as a printer. In 1507 he received the citizenship of Basel. The following year, he married the daughter of Anna Basel citizens Himself.
