History

2008/ 09 - Foundation and first season

In 2008, the Australian football federation ( FFA) founded the first women 's professional league. In the same year the women's team of the Adelaide United FC was set up and joined as one of the eight founding members of the new league. The coach took office the former Australian football player Michael Barnett. With only two wins, one draw and seven defeats, the team was Table at the end of the first season.

2009 - Second Season

After the disappointing previous season the team staff have been changed significantly. However, the success did not come in this season and the team succeeded, not a single victory in the entire ten league games. Thus Adelaid United could only get a total of three points in three draws and was one point ahead, second to last before the even weaker New Castle jets.

2010/11 - Third Season

The third season in the W-League was disappointing on the part of the association. The team lost all ten league games and was again Table.

2011/12 and 2012 /13 - Fourth and Fifth Season

After three seasons at end of table Michael Barnett was dismissed and David Edmondson 's new coach of the team. However, the new coach did not improve and so is this season ended with the last place the poor performance. The subsequent 2012/13 season also was not better and the team was again last. This is Adelaide United the weakest team since the start of the W-League.

2013/14 - Sixth Season

With the start of the new season changed the coach. New coach was the former Australian international Ross Aloisi. The team finished sixth place in the table at the end of the season.
