Lisa -Marie Woods (born 23 MAY 1984 Tønsberg ) is a Norwegian football player.

Career

Woods was born as the daughter of a Scottish father and a Norwegian mother in Tønsberg. In 2003, she went to the U.S. for her studies at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and moved to their junior year for Middle Tennessee State University.

Career

In the club

She began her career at Lindenberg SK. Later, she played for Trosterud IL and Vålerenga Oslo. In 2000 she moved to Asker SK, with whom she won the Norwegian Cup in 2005. Woods went in 2003 for her studies in the USA and played at Oakland University Golden Grizzlies for the Women's Soccer team from 2004 until 2006 for the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders 's women soccer team. During the semester break, they continued playing in their home for Norwegian Asker FK. In spring 2008, she moved again to North America and played in the W-League with the Canadian club Ottawa Fury. In summer 2008, she announced changes to the German champions Turbine Potsdam 1. After a short time the contract was terminated at their request again. Woods played in the spring and summer of 2009 for the U.S. club FC Indiana, before returning to Kolbotn IL to Norway. In January 2010 she moved to league rivals Stabæk Fotball and was elected in November of the same year player of the year. On the last day of the winter transfer window 2011/2012 she announced her move to the Danish UEFA Women's Champions League participants Fortuna Hjørring. After she developed in Denmark for performance wearer, she was hired by the Australian club Perth Glory from the W-League. After half a year in Australia and at Ottawa Fury in Canada, she returned in the summer of 2012 after Denmark to Fortuna back. On March 7, 2013, the midfielder from Danish club Fortuna Hjørring announced her move to the U.S. NWSL club Boston Breakers. There, Woods ran in four league games before returning for two months to Ottawa, where she had already been in the years 2008 and 2012 under contract. In August 2013 their change to the Norwegian first division club Lillestrøm SK Kvinner was known, from where they moved on in November for the Australian first division club Adelaide United.

In the national team

International Woods went through all Norwegian junior national teams. In the U-19 European Championship 2003, she reached with her team the final, but lost 0-2 to the selection of France. Woods was nominated for the World Cup in Germany and was also used in a friendly against Germany on 16 June 2011. But a few days before the tournament, they had to cancel because of a hip injury.
